A & J Scott Ltd is one of the UK‘s leading home grown Sawmills.
From our Northumberland site, we cut timber mainly for the Garden products, Fencing, Landscaping and Pallet sectors.

Established back in 1960 and operating from the original site we employ over 100 people. With many long term employees the company has an enviable and valuable skill base.

We are FSC registered, sourcing round timber supplies from sustainable, managed forests across northern England and Scotland
Our fleet of Lorries is used to manage the incoming flow of timber ensuring a constant stream is maintained.

Our ability to produce large volumes of consistent high quality products has helped us build a stable and increasingly demanding customer base.
To continue to satisfy their demand and to keep our sawmill production state of the art, a new mill was commissioned and built during 2006/7
named Mill 7 this is the 7th mill the Scott family have commissioned.

We are one of the country’s leading hardwood round timber merchants, harvesting timber across the UK, providing hardwood logs of all species and qualities, for large or small consumers.
