AJS to showcase new AJS INCISED range at Timber ExpoPosted: 5th October 2016
A leading independent home grown sawmill will be showcasing its recent investment in the very latest EXCALIBUR incising technology on Stand T3/420 at TIMBER EXPO, taking place at the Birmingham NEC on 18 – 20 October 2016.
Following major investments in production capacity over recent years, the company has now installed the EXCALIBUR machinery to offer a new premium, warrantied range of treated fencing and landscaping timbers to the timber trade. A&J Scott, named earlier this year by the London Stock Exchange as one of the top 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain, will now produce incised timbers alongside its market leading range of treated fencing and landscaping timbers at its Northumberland site.
The company now becomes the very first mill in the UK to invest in the latest EXCALIBUR PRO incising technology for sawn timbers, delivering a fast and aesthetically pleasing incising result which allows a deeper and more consistent preservative penetration from pressure treatments. EXCALIBUR PRO also allows the customer to specify either fully incised or part incised products.
Robert Scott, Managing Director of A&J Scott, explained the move. “Surface incising is recognised more and more as a highly effective way of achieving the very best preservative protection for ground contact timbers. We are increasingly being asked by our customers for a surface incised and warrantied option to add to our standard range of preservative treated timbers, giving our customers a great choice to suit their business.”
“This will be our fifth year at Timber Expo and we’re looking forward to seeing old friends in the industry and meeting new people.”
The company will feature this month on stand T3/420 at Timber Expo, taking place as part of UK Construction Week at the Birmingham NEC on 18 – 20 October 2016. Timber Expo is the most important event on the UK construction calendar dedicated exclusively to timber, its associated technologies and its many applications. It caters for all those involved in specifying and supplying timber solutions.
