AJS welcomes new team membersPosted: 30th July 2016
A&J Scott have been pleased to welcome 2 new members to our team recently as we gear up for further growth following the major updgrade to our main production mill this year and the earlier completion of our new bandmill. To asist the company with the anticipated increase in sales of fencing materials and railway sleepers, we are delighted that Francis Wilbur and April Reed have joined the business.
Francis Wilbur, right, joins us as Operations Director. With a long background in sawmilling operations, Francis is currently overseeing the integration of the equipment and software installed during our recent upgrade, and will be working to maximise production efficiency and product quality as our capacity grows over the months and years ahead.
April Reed, pictured left, joins us as Dispatch Coordinator. With a background in office admin and customer service, April will strengthen our transport and customer service activities, becoming a key liaison between customers, transport and our production department as we seek to build on the standards of service that we and our customers value so highly.
Robert Scott, Managing Director, said, "We're delighted to welcome 2 people of the calibre of Francis and April to our team. We have enjoyed tremendous success in recent years in growing our capacity, in particular for our treated railway sleepers and fencing products, and as we continue to invest in new production capacity it is important that we develop a team to match. I'm looking forward to working with Francis and April and I'm sure they'll be key players in building on our record of producing quality products with high standards of service for our valued customers across the country".
