A leading independent sawmill has become the first British home grown mill to appear at Timber Expo. And A&J Scott, based in Northumberland, were delighted with the results.
With registrations up 15%, Over 5000 visitors were expected at the show at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, giving the home grown mill a great chance to meet customers and make new contacts in the industry.
A&J Scott supply sawn home grown timber to customers in the fencing and outdoor products sectors, specialising in fencing products, landscaping sleepers and timber components used by manufacturing companies. After several years of growth achieved through investment in new equipment and enhanced production capacity, the company relished the opportunity to present itself to a new audience.
And Managing Director Robert Scott, right, was pleased with the results. “We’re delighted to have caught up with so many old friends in the trade and to have met so many people for the first time. I’m looking forward to developing productive long term relationships with some of the people we’ve met at the show.”
