One of Northumberland’s largest private employers, A&J Scott Ltd, are delighted to announce sponsorship of local football club Wooler.
A&J Scott is one of the UK’s leading independent sawmills, supplying goods for use in the fencing, garden products, DIY and pallet sectors nationwide from its site in Northumberland. The company, established in 1960, employs approximately 140 people.
With 2 of those employees representing Wooler FC, the company is pleased to support the local club in the Northern Football Alliance Nike 1st Division. Shown in our picture with teammates are goalkeeper Martyn Nesbit (2nd from right) and Brandon Combie (4th from right).
Managing Director, Robert Scott, said, “We are delighted to support the team and wish them every success. We are proud to be able to support the club along with our local rugby club at Alnwick. As we continue to make capital investments at our site between the two towns, relations with our local communities are very important to us”.
The company is currently working on installation of a new secondary processing production line which will increase its capacity for added value products in the fencing and garden products sectors.
