A&J Scott are delighted to announce membership of the Wood Protection Association (WPA).
The WPA is the technical and advisory organization for the wood pre-treating industry in the UK dedicated to improving the performance of wood as the sustainable construction material of choice.
One of the goals of the WPA is to improve the time of use of treated timber through a unified treatment standard. In order to achieve this the organisation takes part in preparation and provision of British treatment standards and is advisory body in implementing the standards.
A&J Scott treat in excess of 80,000m3 of sawn timber annually using Tanalith and Tanatone preservative solution at the company's Northumberland site. Robert Scott, Managing Director, said, "As one of the UK's leading independent suppliers of pressure treated timber fencing products, it's a pleasure to be joining the UK centre of excellence for wood protection technical and quality developments".
