AJS helps pupils 'go green'

Posted: 5th July 2019

A&J Scott were on hand again this year to help pupil 'go green' at the 15th Children's Countryside Day, organised by the Glendale Agricultural Society.

Focusing on the 'Year of Green Action', over 1650 pupils from 40 schoolds learned about the natural environment and the importance of countryside to everyday life.

A&J Scott's forestry and timber display was one of over 60 exhibitors who allowed the pupils to witness everything from combines to crop seeds, robots to rare breeds and water to wool, including a mini farm.

Originally known as the 'Classroom in the Countryside', the award winning event, held in Wooler, Northumberland, encourages children, aged between 8 and 10, to grow their knowledge and give them a detailed insight into what life is like in the countryside at all levels.
