Company has the treatment for new year!Posted: 28th November 2012
A leading independent sawmill is investing in further timber treatment capacity to cope with demand for treated fencing products during the coming spring and summer months.
A&J Scott supply sawn home grown timber to customers in the fencing and outdoor products sectors, specialising in fencing products, landscaping sleepers and timber components used by manufacturing companies.
After several years of growth achieved through investment in enhanced production capacity, the company has an enviable customer base around the country and is now expanding its timber treatment operations to enable it to maintain its high standards of service through the busy season ahead.
The new expansion follows the company’s recent adoption of the BASF Wolman preservative solution at its mill in Northumberland, and will see the company increase its capability to offer green and brown finish treated fencing.
Managing Director, Robert Scott, said, “Having supplied treated timber for many years, we are delighted to be bringing this extra facility online at the same time as we adopt the premium preservative solution on the market. We’re well placed to offer high quality treated fencing products and looking forward to building on the service levels we can offer to our valued customers throughout the year ahead.”
