To give your timber a longer lifespan protected against the effects of weather, fungi and certain species of insects, A & J Scott are able to treat the timber using Next Generation Tanalith E preservative.
Tanalised timber can be used for fencing, timber decking, landscaping timbers and construction timbers. The preservative solution is impregnated into the timber using pressure treatment vessels, giving a high standard of penetration and finish.
Tanalith E is a water based wood preservative that contains copper and proven organic biocides. When impregnated into the timber the preservative components bond with the wood structure and cannot easily be removed. Tanalith E pressure treated timber has long term protection against fungal and insect attack, including termites, for both in and out of ground contact.
Tanalised timber has a natural green colouration. We can also treat timber using Tanatone, a Tanalith E preservative solution with an added brown colour.
The diagram to the right shows the processes undertaken during our pressure treatment operations.
As part of our commitment to quality treated timber products, A&J Scott are members of the Wood Protection Association.
